Homemade Microwave Popcorn

We have been enjoying this easy treat for our Family Movie nights.  Our air popper has been acting up for a couple of years now and it was getting scary to use.  We were buying store-bought microwave popcorn for a couple of months, but I wasn't happy with the quality of the snack.  There is many mystery ingredients in microwave popcorn and I saw something on Oprah about the dangers of store-bought microwave popcorn.  My friend Lina who grew up in Quebec says that 'everyone' does their own popping in the microwave with a brown paper bag, thus the experimenting started on the proper technique.  After a few burnt batches, the following recipe works well for our family.  Give it a try!
Love Twin B
1.  Take a brown paper bag and fill with 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels.

2.  Fold top of bag down three times and place in microwave.

3.  Cook on High for 2 minutes but listen carefully for popping to slow down.
Each microwave cooks differently.

4.  Pour popcorn into a bowl, add butter, salt etc.  ENJOY!
