Tried this recipe today and taste tested one before we put them in the freezer for Kevin for Easter Dinner. Pretty good and will see how they do once frozen and warmed in the microwave on Sunday.
Followed recipe except used milk instead of dairy free. Also added raisins and dried cherries instead of currants. Glazed with egg yolk mixed with a bit of water. Just before baking I snipped the top with scissors in the shape of a cross.
